Here’s how we do it:

70% Direct Grants

Throughout the year, we work with our DAF partners to award grants to support exceptional charities and vital social causes, both internationally and local to you. These grants fund projects that address urgent local social needs and emergency appeals, as well as support innovative programs from smaller charities, and fill critical funding gaps that prevent good work from happening.

Within these direct grants, 30% are used to incentivise further giving, such as match funding or leaderboard campaigns across the Shamaazi family of products, such as MyTenNights, MyTenDays, MyFridays, Givematch and others. On average, each dollar in this incentive program raises another three dollars, trebling your impact!

30% Sustainable income

We want your donation to do more than just make an impact. We want it to make an impact forever. Up to 30% of your donation will be carefully invested by our DAF partner and through our partner, EverGive, to create reserves that charities can depend on year after year. Your donations are invested once, and charities receive payouts again, and again, and again. This means your donations and rewards never stop, and that charities can plan projects with confidence, build resilience, and focus on their mission instead of constant fundraising.

Shamaazi works with the regional DAF partners to determine how funds are used to benefit charities, including making direct donations and investing funds to generate further returns for charities. However, you understand and acknowledge that The DAF partners, as required by laws applicable to donor advised funds, retain exclusive legal control over all donations and may redirect funds to another qualifying charitable organisation if it is unable to follow Shamaazi’s advisement or prohibited by law from doing so.
