Shamaazi operates primarily through voluntary donor tips and charity subscription fees. In some cases, additional fees or cost allocations may arise within the charitable structure in connection with fundraising and grant-making, subject to agreement with and oversight by our Donor Advised Fund (DAF) partner. Shamaazi is a private limited technology company that facilitates fundraising solutions for charities. It is not a charity itself. Shamaazi does not receive or hold your donation. Donations are processed directly to our DAF partner, which is responsible for holding and administering funds. It does not solicit donations for its own benefit, and does not act as a trustee or custodian of charitable funds. Your donation is passed to our DAF partner, which will ordinarily make grants to charities in line with donor recommendations and its charitable obligations.
Across all Shamaazi-operated platforms, including MyTenNights, MyTenDays, MyFridays and MyDailyGiving, donations are received directly in a regulated and independent Donor Advised Fund (DAF).
The primary deductions that may apply are external third-party processing fees. In certain circumstances, additional fees or charges may apply in connection with fundraising services, as outlined below and in relevant agreements. Donors are encouraged to cover these fees so that the full intended donation amount reaches charitable causes.

All funds raised for Islamic Relief UK on the ‘My Ten Nights’ platform are transferred to Islamic Relief UK in whole with no deductions taken by the platform from any donations. The only deduction is a banking charge which is charged by the debit or credit card company or bank you use to make your donation.

Shamaazi operates MyTenNights, MyTenDays, MyFridays, and MyDailyGiving—all using the same transparent funding model. Shamaazi operates through two sources of funding: voluntary donor tips and charity subscription fees. While donor tips and charity subscriptions are the primary sources of funding, additional fees or allocations may arise within the charitable structure in connection with fundraising and grant-making, subject to DAF oversight.
Donor Tips When you donate, you have the option to add a voluntary tip to help us maintain and improve our platform. This tip is entirely optional and goes toward running Shamaazi's services.
Charity Subscriptions Charities ordinarily pay an annual subscription fee upfront to use Shamaazi's fundraising platform. These fees are paid from the charity's operational budget ensuring that 100% of your donation goes to our DAF (Donor Advised Fund) partner for distribution.
Charities view our suite of products as an effective allocation of their marketing budget. We help them reach donors they wouldn't otherwise reach, automate the donation process during critical periods of the year, and provide technology infrastructure they would otherwise need to build themselves.
Many charities that pay us see their total donations increase significantly, making our fees a worthwhile investment from their fundraising budgets.
When you donate through one of our products, your full donation amount reaches your chosen charity subject to laws governing Donor Advised Funds. Third party payment processing fees may apply depending on your payment method - you can choose to cover these yourself.
Depending on what they use, charities receive select services completely free. But if your chosen charity has taken out a paid package, they're doing so from their operational budget, just as they would pay for billboard advertising or event costs
Islamically, charities are permitted to spend reasonable amounts on administration, marketing, and operational costs. These expenses are necessary to run effective charitable operations and reach more donors.
Our model ensures that:

When you donate through Shamaazi:
Charities ordinarily pay Shamaazi upfront. This ensures that any marketing fees are not paid from your donation. In rare cases where it serves the charity's best interests, Shamaazi and the charity may agree, with DAF consent, for subscription fees to be deducted before funds are disbursed. Additionally, if a charity defaults on payment of their subscription fees, Shamaazi reserves the right to deduct outstanding fees from donations before disbursement.
All platform fees and charges are only ever applied with the full agreement and oversight of our DAF partner, ensuring transparency and accountability at every step.
We prioritise the ethical use of funds through rigorous due diligence, independent oversight, and full transparency for donors and charities.
Shamaazi operates as a technology platform and service provider to charities and donors. It is a private limited company. It is not a charity, does not solicit donations for its own benefit, and does not act as a trustee or custodian of charitable funds.
We believe in radical transparency. If you have questions about our model, specific charity arrangements, or anything else, contact us at contact@shamaazi.com. If you would like to contact any of the charity partners or Donor Advised Funds that we work with, we will happily connect you at your request.
