About MyGiving

I gave through a charity's website and landed here. What is MyGiving to me?
Welcome, and to be clear about how you got here: you gave to a charity through their own donation pages, which we provide to them, and your donation has gone to them exactly as you intended. Nothing about that changes, they're your charity, and your relationship is with them.

MyGiving is where you can see and track that giving in one place: your receipts, your history, your Gift Aid, all together. And if it's useful, it's also where you can discover more, other ways to give, causes your community cares about, and tools to help further your giving intent.

Use as much or as little as you like; your giving here starts and ends wherever your intent does.
What happened to Shamaazi? Where did the other brands go?
Shamaazi is now MyGiving. We're still incorporated as Shamaazi, but you'll know us as MyGiving from here on out, a name we hope better reflects the kind of experience people want from their giving and their relationships with the causes they love.

MyTenNights, MyTenDays, MyFridays and MyFajr are all still here, still available and working exactly as usual; you'll just also find them together inside your MyGiving hub.

Everything's had a fresh coat of paint and a modern clean-up, so the way things look finally matches the way you give: closer to your passions, your intent and your purpose. Nothing about your schedules, donations or account changes.
Why does my bank statement still say Shamaazi?
Because Shamaazi remains our registered company name, payments and receipts may show it for some time. Both names are us.
Is MyGiving just a website?
Yes and no. Today, MyGiving is the home of your giving: one place to set up, manage and see everything you give.

But we hope it becomes something more, a hub for all kinds of faith-led and purposeful activity, from learning and education to collaborating with family and friends and celebrating life's moments through selflessness.

We'll keep building, and we'll keep listening, so that MyGiving serves your passions, not just your payments.

Who is behind MyGiving?
MyGiving is built by the team behind MyTenNights and MyTenDays, trusted by over 200,000 donors who have given more than £100 million through our platforms.

We build tools that help Muslims give consistently and never miss the moments that matter.
I already use MyTenNights, MyTenDays or MyFridays. Do I need a new account?
No. Your existing schedules and donations carry on exactly as they are, nothing changes and nothing needs setting up again.

MyGiving simply brings them together in one place, and you'll use the same email you've always used. As we roll out, you'll see your giving history and active schedules appear in your MyGiving home.

Giving through MyGiving

Does my donation reach my chosen charity?
Yes. Donations are received by our regional charitable partners, operating as Donor Advised Funds, which aim to grant to your chosen charities in line with your recommendations.

A fundraising fee applies to donations, alongside payment processing fees. Full details of the fundraising arrangement are set out in our Solicitation Statement, with further information on fees available on our Fees & Charges page. Optional tips to support MyGiving are separate from your donation.
What's the difference between giving to a charity and giving to a cause?
Choosing a charity means you're choosing the organisation you want to support.

Choosing a cause allows you to support charities working in that particular area.

Zakat

Can I pay my Zakat through MyGiving?
Yes. You can give Zakat through MyGiving to Zakat-eligible causes and charity partners, and mark your donation as Zakat so that it is handled accordingly and shown separately in your giving record.

Where Zakat is administered by The Forever Trust, it is handled in accordance with The Forever Trust's Zakat Policy.

Our Zakat calculator can also help you work out what you owe and save your Zakat date so you never miss it.

Fees and Charges

Is MyGiving free? How does MyGiving make money?
MyGiving is free for donors to access and use.

When you make a donation through one of our giving products, a fundraising fee applies, alongside payment processing fees. Full details of the fundraising arrangement are set out in our Solicitation Statement, with further information available on our Fees & Charges page.

We are also funded through optional donor tips and service fees paid by participating charities.

Manage your Giving

How does MyGiving work out impact estimates like "800 meals"?
Impact figures are estimates, based on what our charity partners tell us their programmes typically deliver per pound.

They're there to make your giving tangible, not to be exact accounting, and every estimate links to how it was calculated. Real delivery varies by programme, place and time.
Can I change, pause or cancel my giving?
Yes, any time. You can change amounts, pause for a while or cancel completely from your MyGiving account in a few taps, no forms and no phone calls.

Life changes, and your giving should flex with it.
Will charities contact me if I give through MyGiving?
Only if you choose. Your details are never passed to charities without your permission; you decide at checkout whether a charity can email you about the impact of your donation.

Your giving, your inbox.
